Principal’s Welcome

A very warm welcome to our beautiful school- the Kenya Community Centre for Learning, popularly known as KCCL. At KCCL, the dream of every student matters. We offer interventions and programs that are tailormade to focus on building the interests and strengths of an individual student as well as addressing their areas of concern. Our student-centred and strength-based approach to teaching empowers every student to develop a positive attitude towards learning, becoming more self-determined and self-aware as they attain various milestones in their education journey. KCCL’s professional and committed staff strive to work collaboratively to create enabling learning environments that suit the needs of every student. We are cognizant to the fact that many students in the mainstream schools continue to struggle with learning not because they don’t work hard but simply being in a system of education that is unresponsive and insensitive to their educational needs. KCCL adopts innovative teaching and learning methods that offer every student an opportunity to thrive. This is achieved by applying latest research findings in the field of Special Education to class teaching, talent development and behaviour management. Our focus is not on the student’s disability but their ability, making KCCL truly a unique school where students can enjoy learning that is aligned to their interests, dreams and strengths. We constantly seek to create a therapeutic relationship with our students that inspires hope, resilience and success in all aspects of their life.
